Context:
Russell Athletic is a performance apparel brand focused on functional, everyday sportswear. The objective of this project was to showcase a ¾-zip performance top and training shorts in a way that communicated movement, flexibility, and athleticism while maintaining clear product visibility.
Rather than a traditional catalog presentation, the goal was to create engaging, action-driven imagery that still allowed the garments’ fit, silhouette, and material behavior to remain readable.
The challenge was capturing athletic intensity without losing focus on the product itself.
Creative Approach
I built the concept around two familiar sports settings, tennis and basketball, to show how the garments move in real use. Low angles add energy and scale, while intentional framing keeps the ¾-zip shape and shorts length easy to read. I used strong natural sunlight to define texture and form, and chose court surfaces that contrast with the wardrobe so the product stays visually distinct.
